A successful consulting career can bring opportunities, influence, and meaningful work. It can also bring relentless expectations, complex organizational dynamics, and pressure to keep advancing without enough time to consider what you actually want.
KEM Leadership Coaching provides private, one-on-one leadership and career coaching for women in consulting, from Manager through Partner.
Some clients come to coaching because they are questioning whether to advance, pivot, or leave consulting. Others want to strengthen their performance and leadership effectiveness in the role they have worked hard to earn.
In both situations, coaching provides a confidential space to step back from the immediate demands of the job, think strategically, and take purposeful action.
You may have spent years pursuing the next promotion, taking on increasingly demanding assignments, and building a reputation as someone who can handle almost anything. Now, the path that once seemed obvious may no longer feel right.
You might be wondering:
Do I still want to pursue Partner or another senior leadership role?
Am I ready to leave consulting, or do I first need something about my current role to change?
Would an internal, corporate, or non-client-facing position be a better fit?
What career options would allow me to use what I have built without recreating the same pressures?
How can I make a thoughtful decision without later regretting it?
What does success mean to me now?
Career Clarity and Transition Coaching helps you move beyond simply escaping what is no longer working. Together, we explore your values, strengths, priorities, goals, and the realities of the options you are considering.
The objective is not to identify one predetermined answer. It is to help you understand what you genuinely want, evaluate potential paths more clearly, and move toward a career and life that fit who you are now.

Reaching a senior role does not eliminate the need for development. In many cases, the challenges become more complex.
The work is no longer measured only by what you personally deliver. Your effectiveness increasingly depends on how you lead others, navigate the organization, build sponsorship, respond to feedback, influence senior stakeholders, and establish a presence that reflects the caliber of your work.
You may know that you are capable of more but feel that something is limiting your impact. You may have received feedback that is difficult to interpret, be working toward the next level, or want to become more effective and confident in your current role.
You might be asking:
How can I translate feedback into meaningful behavioral change?
Who is advocating for me when I am not in the room?
How do I build stronger sponsorship beyond my immediate account or team?
What perceptions may be affecting my performance or advancement?
How can I increase my visibility without feeling self-promotional?
How do I communicate my value in a way that feels authentic?
What relationships need more deliberate attention?
How can I strengthen my leadership presence and influence?
How do I become known for the work and expertise that matter to my longer-term goals?
How can I perform at a high level without relying on habits that are no longer sustainable?
Leadership Performance and Effectiveness Coaching helps you identify what is getting in the way and focus on the changes that will have the greatest impact.
The work is tailored to your role, goals, organizational environment, and current performance priorities. We may address an immediate challenge while also ensuring that your actions support the leader you want to become and the career you want to build.

Sometimes the feedback available through a formal performance process is too general to be useful. A customized 360 assessment can provide a clearer understanding of how your leadership, communication, and performance are experienced by the people around you.
A 360 may include confidential interviews with selected leaders, peers, team members, clients, or other stakeholders. The themes are synthesized into a focused set of findings, followed by a dedicated debrief to help you interpret the feedback, identify priorities, and decide how to respond.
360 feedback can help you identify:
Strengths you may be underestimating
Patterns that are visible to others but difficult for you to see
Differences between your intentions and your impact
Perceptions affecting your performance, influence, or advancement
Relationships that may require attention
Specific leadership behaviors to strengthen
A 360 assessment can be valuable at many career levels, including when preparing for advancement, transitioning into a new role, responding to performance feedback, or working to become a more effective leader.
It can be completed as part of a broader coaching engagement or used to establish priorities at the beginning of the coaching process.
Every coaching engagement is tailored to the client rather than forced into a standard sequence.
We begin by clarifying what you want to accomplish and what would make the engagement valuable. From there, you help set the direction for each session based on what is most useful at that point.
Depending on your goals, an engagement may include structured reflection, leadership assessments, career-planning exercises, stakeholder mapping, feedback preparation, practical experiments, and action between sessions.
Between-session support by text or email may also be included for matters directly connected to our coaching work.
Throughout the engagement, you will have a confidential thinking partner who understands the consulting environment, asks direct and thoughtful questions, challenges assumptions, and helps you translate insight into action.
You do not need to have every goal defined before beginning coaching. Some clients arrive with a specific performance or leadership challenge. Others know that something needs to change but are not yet sure what that change should be.
